Redwood Middle School Programs

The SUSD provides band programs during the school day at Redwood Middle School. The band programs include: 6th grade music exploratory, Griffin Band, and 7/8 Advanced Band.
SMB funds provide Intermediate and Advanced Orchestra, Redwood Color Guard, Redwood Honor Chorus, Redwood Jazz Band, after-school ensembles, Redwood Summer Music, and Redwood Band Camp.

Summer Music

During the same 3 weeks as Redwood summer school,SMB offers an afternoon music program. Students have the opportunity to develop their skills in three different areas. Tuition fee covers the cost of instruction, materials and supplies

Jazz Band

Grades 7-8

Meets Thursday evening. Tuition is requested to cover cost of teacher and supplies. Additional fees for individual bus trips, competition fees.

 

Band Camp

Grades 6-8

Redwood Band Camp meets at the end of summer vacation to begin preparing students for the fall marching band/drill team experience. Tuition fee covers the cost of instruction, materials and supplies.

 

Intermediate Orchestra

Advanced Orchestra
