Saratoga High Shool

Saratoga High School offers Marching Band, Color Guard and Winter Guard, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band I, Symphonic Band II, Saratoga Strings, Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Band I and Jazz Band II, Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Women’s Ensemble, Cantare Chorale, Hand Bell Choir and AP Music Theory as part of the school program. These programs are jointly funded by the LGSHSUD and SMB.

Under the direction of Michael Boitz and John Zarco, Saratoga High School offers semester 1 classes in Marching Band, Color Guard, Saratoga Strings and Symphony Orchestra. Semester 2 classes include Saratoga Strings, Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band I and Symphonic Band II. Winter Guard and Jazz Band I and II are offered as classes.

SHS Jazz Band I & II

Director: John Zarco

Under the direction of John Zarco, Saratoga High offers two Jazz Bands for students. Jazz Band I meets on Wednesday afternoons and Friday mornings. The group welcomes all who want to join to enjoy jazz with them. Jazz Band II is an auditioned group meeting three times a week during the seventh period of the school day. Auditions take place in the spring of the previous year.
