Jazz, Swing, and Big Band Fun for All

Saratoga Music Boosters presents an evening of cool jazz, hot swing and heart-warming song at the Jazz Cabaret and Swing Dance 2008, on Saturday March 8th, from 8-11 p.m. in the Saratoga High Big Gym.  Come celebrate Saratoga High's rich music tradition, featuring the Redwood Middle School Jazz Band, Saratoga High Jazz Bands I and II, and the Saratoga High Women's Chorale, Concert Choir, and Men's Choir. The line-up also includes our very special returning guests the Los Gatos Saratoga Big Band, joined this year by bay area quartet the Lyricats. 

Eat, drink, and be merry!  Indulge in the bountiful buffet of fabulous finger foods, delectable desserts and homemade hors de oeuvres guaranteed to tickle your taste buds. The gourmet coffee bar featuring an array of blends and the famous fountain of perfect punch will keep your thirst quenched.

A fun-filled,  magical evening under the dazzling, star-studded balloon canopy awaits you! All-time jazz favorites, both classic and modern charts will sweep you off your feet, while the vibrant vocals are sure to warm the cockles of your heart. 

SMB supports our outstanding music program for grades 4-12. Proceeds from the event go towards ensuring that the Saratoga music tradition remains healthy and vibrant. Inspire your beginning music student with an evening of ‘cool’ music by the ‘big’ kids!

VOLUNTEER!  Please sign up online... We have many opportunities. For questions contact volunteer coordinator: Joyce Shiuan Shiuan@comcast.net or 408-868-9569. You don’t have to have a student in Jazz Band in order to help out. 

DONATE!  Consider becoming an underwriter or a sponsor of this event. Underwriters fund refreshments, decorations, lights and sound. Underwriting is a great way for your business to support music education in our community. There are 4 levels of sponsors: $150 sponsors receive 2 tickets, while $250 hosts, $500 underwriters and $1000 underwriters receive 4 tickets.  Underwriters, Hosts and Sponsors are recognized in our event program and large underwriter poster.  The Ticket Order Form can be used to send in an underwriting or sponsor donation.
