Redwood Awards 2007/2008
CMEA Solo & Ensemble:Congratulations to the Redwood Music Department for participating at the annual CMEA (California Association for Music Education) Solo & Ensemble Festivals, Spring 2008! The following students played or sang one or more solo, duet, trio, quartet, quintet or sextet in the categories of string, woodwind, brass, percussion, and vocal performance during three Saturdays in March, all coming home with “top three” ratings (38 Gold, 21 Silver, and 3 Bronze). In addition, five of our Gold ratings were deemed ‘Command Performances,’ the highest possible rating at the Festival! Congratulations again to all of our participants. We are very proud of you!!! participants
Heritage Festival in Southern California:
- 7 Heritage Gold Awards: Redwood Marching Band & Auxiliary Units, Redwood Advanced Concert Band, Redwood Advanced Percussion Ensemble, Redwood Advanced String Orchestra, Redwood Jazz Band, Redwood Jazz Dance Team, Redwood Honor Chorus
- 3 Heritage Adjudicator's Awards (for musical excellence and achievement)
- 3 students received trophies for individual student achievement: Vivian Tsai, Sebastian Thorn and Tony Glausi
Scholarship Awards:
