Saratoga Schools Curriculum Overview

The goals of the following programs are to encourage a love of music and to provide opportunities for students to develop their musical skills. SUSD and LGSHSD share the philosophy to excite and inspire all of our children with a passion for learning now and in the future. The districts are committed to providing a safe, secure environment in which students master skills, and in which they are challenged to do their best. Each student is seen as an individual with unique needs and abilities.

Depending upon the grade level, some programs are offered during the school day and other programs are offered as extra-curricular programs. Fees are requested to cover costs of the SMB components of the programs. SMB also conducts fundraisers to help cover the infrastructure costs of the programs, for example, music, instruments, uniforms, and other large items (trucks, sound systems, risers, insurance).
