John Zarco

 

 

John Zarco is an instrumental music teacher and director of the marching band at Saratoga High School. He holds a B.M. in music education and an M.M. in conducting from California State University, Sacramento. Mr. Zarco has been an active arranger and instructor of marching percussion ensembles for over ten years. He maintains an active schedule as a clinician and adjudicator for regional circuits. Mr. Zarco belongs to numerous professional organizations, including the California Band Directors Association, the Northern California Band Association, the International Association for Jazz Education, the College Band Directors National Association, and the Music Educators National Conference. He is a recent inductee of Pi Kappa Lambda, an honorary music fraternity. Mr. Zarco is also an endorser of Vic Firth sticks and mallets, and is currently a member of the Vic Firth Education Team.
