Director Profile: Seth Jones
Seth Jones is excited to be joining the Saratoga HS Music Faculty. He will be teaching the Symphonic Bands, Jazz Bands, and the Marching Band. Mr. Jones came to Saratoga HS from New Jersey where he previously taught high school concert, jazz and marching band. His students have performed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware and Virginia.
Mr. Jones grew up in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. He is a proud graduate of Carnegie Mellon University where he earned a BFA in Clarinet Performance. While at CMU, Mr. Jones performed with the CMU Philharmonic, Wind Ensemble and Contemporary Ensemble. For three years, Mr. Jones was also a member of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra at Heinz Hall. In 2001, he was awarded the Silberman Award for Excellence in the Clarinet. He recently graduated from Northwestern University with a Master of Music in Music Education.
Mr. Jones considers it a great honor to be working with the wonderful staff at Saratoga High School.
